Google here, Google there, Google everywhere

Google is not just everywhere, Google has changed the way we learn, the way we search and the way we work. Information and knowledge are constantly growing and so it’s important to develop new searching skills and even note taking skills in order to survive the information overload.  To find the most important pieces of information it seems to be important to know Google’s search algorithms (ranking factors).  And it is a really long list of 200 pieces…

There are many tools that can help us doing research and it is important that our education systems and teachers adjust to the Google Generation. Students should be taught how to effectively do research and they should beware of the fact that even teachers can “google” information and that they can detect plagiarism (sorry, the article behind is in German!).
